We packed some water and food and headed into Lawn Hill Gorge (Boodjamull). We did the Wild Dog Dreaming walk which was good as it was partly shaded and it was already in the mid 30s. It was about 4.5km meandering along Lawn Creek and leading to an ancient Aboriginal rock art and engraving site. We continued on to a view of the Lower Gorge before heading back to the car. The kids did really well with no complaints! We got changed and packed some food ready for a canoe trip. We hired a three person canoe so the kids could sit in the middle. We paddled upstream through the impressive sandstone walls of the Middle Gorge before continuing onto Indarri Falls. We had a swim and a bite to eat before dragging the canoe along the portage track to the Upper Gorge. We got to the end of the Upper Gorge to the rapids and headed back. We didn't see any freshwater crocodiles but got a good look at a Worrell's short-necked turtle. Back at Adels Grove we went for a swim in the creek.
