Broome

We were up early to get out to Gantheaume Point for low tide to try and find the dinosaur footprints embedded in the sandstone. It was quite funny because there were loads of people searching for it over the reef. It seems they don't wish to encourage large numbers of visitors. It was finally found. The footprint is thought to be from a theropod dinosaur and believed to have lived 120 million years ago. Evidence of dinosaurs are scattered over 200km of coastline from Broome to Cape Leveque. We drove back to Cable Beach and had a drink at Zanders. We spent the rest of the day relaxing by the pool and van. It was quite windy but a very pleasant 33 degrees. At 4.30pm we went down the beach for our sunset camel ride. It was a lovely evening and we all had a great time.
