Fitzroy Crossing

We had a quick breakfast and drove 5km out of town to China Wall, a picturesque sub vertical quartz vein producing 6m off the ground. We then hit the road again to drive the 285km to Fitzroy Crossing. We stopped in at the info centre and checked in at the Fitzroy River Lodge, which had lovely shady, grassy sites. We decided to do The 8.00am Geikie Gorge boat trip tomorrow morning because we the 3pm one would be too hot. We had a look around town including the Crossing Inn and the old crossing before going back for a swim.
