Coral Bay

Bill's Bay

After saying our farewells we headed to Coral Bay which is just over 200kms away. We had a quick stop in Exmouth to visit the bakery and make a couple of phone calls - we decided to do the groceries at Coral Bay. Rick had expressed concerns about one of the tyres on the caravan but he decided to deal with it in Carnarvon. So he wasn't at all surprised when we heard a loud bang as we were driving along - the tyre had all but fallen to bits. Coral Bay is a small beachside community consisting of one street with several tour operators and a very expensive general store - it doesn't look like we will be stocking up here! At the end of the road is the gorgeous, sheltered sanctuary zone of Bill's Bay. We went down to the beach for the 3.30 fish feeding - mainly norwest snapper. We enquired about the snorkelling tours which included the manta ray swim but we didn't commit because we weren't sure if the kids were up for 6 hours out on the boat.
