Exmouth

We were keen to get on the road and get away from the flies! On the way into town we had stop for a family of emus crossing the road. It was about 10.30am when we pulled up at the visitor centre in Exmouth. We picked up some info before checking in at the caravan park. We quickly unhitched the van as we were keen to get to the local pub to watch the Melbourne Cup which was at 12. The visitor centre recommended the Potshot Hotel. On arrival we felt a little under dressed as they had a Melbourne Cup function going on and everyone was dressed up in their racing attire. It was all good fun - we watched the race, had a bite to eat and a couple of drinks. We then went for a drive around town and stopped for a look at Town Beach which was very pebbly. Back at the caravan I did some washing and took the kids for swim in the pool.
